The economic sector

A large industrial group in the automotive world.

The stakes of the mission

The Vice President of the organization wishes to accompany one of his collaborators who has joined its International Steering Committee. She encounters difficulties in a predominantly male world.  She wants to also engage in a coaching process in order to be more comfortable in this new environment and its new responsibilities.

The intervention

We started by define what it wished for the best and this ‘as being more confident even”meant.  It wished to be able to develop this assertiveness in the context of the decisions it had taken.
We have worked on all of the circumstances in which it was shown particularly assertive (in personal and professional situations) in the decisions that it had been able to take and also in adversities she had the face. We realized a ‘tree of success’ by looking at each time the reasons for its success and the fruits thereof. Progressed coaching sessions, we started concrete cases that the person brought and we systematically returned on this tree to enrich it and see how it could reuse the forces she had mentioned in her daily work.
We have enriched the practice of Appreciative Inquiry by an approach that is called Solution Focus in the context of the implementation of the actions as the various sessions.

the results obtained

A few months later in the context of maintenance of mid-term, Vice President speaks to me smiling saying ‘ have you done, now it keeps me head!» The person could find its position using its own style.

O. Director of talent – Amrest development

Explore its MBTI profile in the light of the Appreciative Inquiry approach: the testimony of a Russian client

I am Director of the development of talent at Amrest, a multinational catering (KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks). I first met Claire in the role of facilitator of a seminar using the MBTI tool. I was impressed by not only his knowledge and his enthusiasm, but also by the depth of his comments and examples of cases that she has shared. We began to discuss this tool and it was then that Claire mentioned the Appreciative Inquiry and the use that it makes for exploring the dynamics of the MBTI types. I am also a coach practitioner certified in MBTI and however I had never heard of this. I was thrilled to do this maintenance of Exploration Appreciative of my profile, which took about an hour. I was very surprised by the power of the process, the issues that led me to remember me examples of past performance, I felt well! At the end of the meeting I felt really energized and with the desire to take action. This feeling has gradually decreased with the daily routine. The feeling Yes, but the impact of this Appreciative Exploration was to prove very quickly as you will see…

During the session I discovered a moment in my experience past in which I worked to the best of my personal style – thought extroverted in the language MBTI, translating for me by an autonomous thought, combining quickly the best reflections of others with my own to create new ideas. The result of this experience that I have described in detail had at the time been spectacular for me, and remember allowed me to tell me that would like to repeat this kind of experience in the future. In describing this past experience I also realized that what prevents me to function at my maximum more often it is fear, a fear of not being in a position to lead. Simply do this and verbalize it allowed me to identify this fear «in real time», and the master. The result was above my expectations 3 weeks later.

Thanks Claire
